Early Onset Schizophrenia And Metaphysical Healing
About a year ago I saw a documentary on TLC about January Schofield, an extraordinary young girl who was diagnosed with early onset schizophrenia, and her amazing parents who dedicated their lives to making their daughter’s as meaningful as possible, even going so far as to have 2 apartments- 1 for each parent and sibling- January and younger brother Bodie, for the protection of the brother, as Jani had anger rages as a part of her symptoms. The story progresses- Jani has a dedicated staff of professions at their local hospital and in the private sector. They struggle to get her meds adjusted- lithium and thorazine. I was most stricken about the ‘early onset’ portion of her condition, as well as the audio and visual hallucinations she had- many including numbers, like 47 or 12, and she had some friends that no one could see but her and they often had number names, such as ‘7′. The story was so compelling to me because I never had witnessed first hand the degree of disturbance this young girl had.
A few weeks ago I saw a re-run of the documentary followed by a sequel- how Jani is doing now, and a little more about the brother Bodhi. Bodhi had now been diagnosed autistic, and also began showing behaviors similar to that of Jani, and when he blurted out “19″ my heart sank and I knew… schizophrenic siblings! My mind started racing. These parents have gone to the ends of the earth to try to help their children, yet for folks whose diligence has left no stone seemingly unturned , never did I hear about them trying homeopathy, Bach flower remedies, light and sound therapy, Chinese herbs, charka balancing, Sai Sanjeevini patterns, or dowsing. I am no expert on this condition but if I had a daughter such as Jani I would be trying to partner with top homeopaths and metaphysical healers- I would be dowsing daily regarding her meds (and I am sure they would not be Lithium) and also dowsing for the best modality to heal my daughter, from whatever realm or plane. She would be under the care of an astro-psychologist and have regular reflexology and reiki treatments (along with all the great life-enriching support she is getting thanks to her fabulous parents). And the same for the son as well, who seems to have a double condition- autism and schizophrenia (although he is still too young to receive the official diagnosis of schizophrenic). Dr Judyth Ullman boasts great success using homeopathy for schizophrenic patients and reminds us the remedy selection is very individual. Reading around on the homeopathic forums, I see thuja and anacardoum (both at the 200c dose) used with success also silcia and arum met. So there is still SO much out there alternatively, for Mr and Mrs Schofield to try.
The National Alliance On Mental Heath says “Schizophrenia is a major psychiatric illness. Symptoms usually begin in late adolescence or early adulthood. Numerous studies have found that about one in every 100 people around the world has the disorder. However, schizophrenia with an onset in adolescence (prior to age 18) is less common and an onset of the disorder in childhood (before age 13) is exceedingly rare. It is thought that at most one in every 100 adults with schizophrenia develops it in childhood.” So then why all these ‘early onset’ cases such as the Schofield kids and all the others like them (some as young as 5 and with multiple disorders) featured in the documentary? A recent study showed a 7 fold increased risk of schizophrenia in vaccinated children, and I think we have our answer.
I found Jani’s website and emailed Michael Schofield asking if they had ever tried homeopathy. I anxiously await word back, but that was 2 weeks ago and I have not gotten a reply.
These parents are creating the sickness in their children… ever heard of Munchausen’s by proxy?
I dont think they have Munchausens- I think the children are both vaccine damaged and the parents won’t think outside the box for cure or relief, by, say trying Sai Sanjeevini patterns or homeopathy of which I know either or better yet both, would help
How on Earth can anyone judge these parents. They are trying to keep their daughter (who the love unconditionally) ALIVE! Unless you walk in their shoes or have anything similar that you are dealing with then give them a break. I commend them for keeping her with them and not locked up in a hospital. How do you know that anything that you are talking about would even help and not hurt the progress they have made with her condition. To suggest that there is any other recourse for this child is ignorant.
I make no guarantees, but speak from the point of empirical evidence, and to suggest that there is no other recourse for this child is what is ignorant. Allopathic medicine has only been around for under 200 years, but the energy healing I am talking about has been used for thousands of years, successfully. and what harm to try it? Yes, and bravo Michael and Susan for keeping Jani from being committed.
To suggest that “someone” with this knowledge of healing hasn’t already been in contact with this family would suggest that people like you who “know” that this treatment could help is ignorant. You don’t think for one second that if someone did have a course of treatment to help this poor child it wouldn’t be all over the blogs? For that matter, IF someone did have evidence that this treatment had helped another child in this condition that it wouldn’t be plastered all over the internet blogs. I’m sure this family has done everything possible in regards to the medication their child is taking. I don’t know of any parent that would “want” to keep their child on such strong meds if it weren’t absolutely necessary. People with this condition are usually locked in a padded cell and have no outside contact with the world. These parents are keeping their child at home giving her a LIFE. I don’t see them going out and tooting their own horn or anything similar. I think they are trying to make people aware of this condition if effort to help others who deal with things similar. They do not hide their frustrations or try to suggest that they are doing something extraordinary in helping their child. They love her unconditionally.
First let me say that all the evidence is out there, and yes, plastered all over the internet. I often reference websites, doctors, parents with success stories, vaccination warnings- all well documented by respectable and reliable sources etc., on my blogs- it just depends on what you (I mean the yous of the world) choose to read, and choose to believe. Would you like these references, because I would be glad to comb through and put together a list for you. I have no certainty that Susan didn’t try dowsing or Michael didn’t take Jani for a Chakra balance- I only said I never heard anything about them doing/trying metaphysical healing, in any way. I am not suggesting abandoning meds- I say be eclectic and add to the reportorial. They are devoted parents indeed, in a class all their own, but that does not mean that they have left no stoned un-turned.
